Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Category Manager role based in Mumbai. The Category Manager will oversee assigned fashion categories, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotions, to drive sales growth and profitability. In this role, the individual will analyze customer behavior and performance data, identify trends, and optimize the product mix to enhance the home trial experience. The Category Manager will collaborate closely with procurement, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of styles, strong vendor relationships, and effective campaigns. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing vendor contracts, monitoring inventory levels, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring that category strategies align with ZILO’s brand and customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
- Category Management skills, including assortment planning, pricing, and lifecycle management
- Strong Analytical Skills for data-driven decision making, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Experience in Procurement and Contract Negotiation to build and maintain vendor partnerships
- Sales skills to drive category growth, conversion, and customer engagement
- Background in fashion retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods is highly beneficial
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, analytics tools, and inventory management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Management, or a related field
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
