Category Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Own revenue, margin, and growth targets for the assigned category across Zigly's app, website, and Stores - tracking performance against plan and course correcting proactively.
• Curate and manage the product mix - SKU selection, pricing architecture, new launches, and delisting underperformers - including support for Zigly's private labels (Furpro, Applod, Zigly Lifestyle).
• Onboard new brands/suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, supply reliability, and exclusive/early access where possible.
• Work with supply chain and warehouse teams to forecast demand, plan inventory, and avoid stockouts or overstocking - critical given Zigly's expanding store and franchise footprint.
• Partner with marketing on category-level campaigns, seasonal promotions, and discounting strategy, balancing growth with margin health.
• Track competitor assortment, pricing, and emerging trends in the pet care space to keep Zigly's category positioning sharp and differentiated.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-4 years in category management, e-commerce, or D2C operations
• Prior exposure to pet care/products strongly preferred; otherwise a relevant B2C/D2C category (FMCG, beauty, lifestyle, F&B).
• Strong Excel/data skills comfortable making pricing, assortment, and inventory calls from numbers.
• Vendor negotiation experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, marketing, supply chain, and store operations.
