Category Manager - Home & Lifestyle Division

Role Overview:

As a Category Manager for the Home & Lifestyle division, you will serve as the primary architect of our product assortment, driving the end-to-end P&L for one of our fastest-growing business units. You will operate at the intersection of consumer insights, supply chain efficiency, and brand positioning, working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, logistics, and finance to deliver a seamless shopping experience. Your daily mandate involves identifying emerging market trends, negotiating high-impact partnerships with vendors, and optimizing pricing strategies to ensure we remain competitive while maximizing margins. By translating complex data analytics into actionable merchandising plans, you will directly influence customer satisfaction and play a pivotal role in scaling our market presence in the Gurgaon region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the complete P&L for the Home & Lifestyle category, ensuring revenue targets and profitability margins are consistently met through strategic assortment planning.

- Lead vendor management initiatives by negotiating favorable terms and building long-term partnerships that ensure a steady supply of high-quality, trending products.

- Execute data-driven pricing strategies that balance competitive market positioning with internal margin requirements to drive volume and conversion.

- Oversee inventory management processes to optimize stock turnover, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stock-outs during peak demand cycles.

- Drive brand management efforts by curating product collections that resonate with our target demographic and enhance our overall market reputation.

- Conduct rigorous market research to identify white spaces in the current portfolio, enabling the launch of new products that meet evolving consumer preferences.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in category management and retail operations, with a proven track record of managing large-scale product portfolios in the consumer goods or e-commerce space.

- Strong analytical proficiency in leveraging data analytics to forecast demand, evaluate category performance, and make informed merchandising decisions.

- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve mutually beneficial business outcomes.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Gurgaon, maintaining high levels of productivity and cross-departmental collaboration.

- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level business goals into granular product management and operational tasks.

- Educational background from a premier institute is preferred, complemented by 6 - 10 years of professional experience in high-growth retail or lifestyle organizations.
