Category Manager Commercial Fit Out and Furniture

Role & responsibilities

• Category Ownership: Drive end-to-end category strategy for commercial fit-outs (workstations, executive seating, loose furniture, joinery, partitions, and architectural finishes) to achieve cost savings and margin expansion.
• CAD & BOQ Technical Review: Analyze CAD layouts, validate billable quantities, and audit BOQs prepared by design teams to enable strategic sourcing and cost benchmarking.
• Vendor Onboarding & Strategic Sourcing: Identify, audit, and onboard tier-1 vendors, furniture OEMs, and regional subcontractors to build a scalable and competitive supplier network.
• Commercial Negotiation & Contracting: Lead high-stakes negotiations on pricing, volume rebates, SLAs, and credit terms; execute long-term rate contracts and Master Services Agreements (MSAs).
• Vendor Performance & Risk Management: Monitor supplier KPIs (quality, lead time, ESG compliance) and manage supply chain risks to ensure seamless project delivery across commercial sites.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or MBA in Supply Chain/Operations.
• Domain Expertise: Proven track record as a Category Manager in commercial fit-out, corporate furniture, or turnkey interior execution.
• Technical & Commercial Skills: Strong CAD literacy, BOQ/cost estimation capability, advanced MS Excel, and sharp commercial negotiation tactics.
