We are looking for a Category Lead to build & scale flat steel business. The role owns the category end-to-end product portfolio, supplier base, segment strategy and customer go-to-market with clear accountability for growth and profitability.

• Own the flat steel category strategy and P&L across HR, CR, GP/GI, PPGL, CRGO, CRNO and PM Plates.
• Expand the catalogue by adding grades, specifications, sizes and coatings in line with customer demand.
• Build demand in key segments: Automotive, Appliances, Solar and Renewables, and Transformers/Electricals.
• Identify, onboard and manage mills, service centers and distributors as sellers on the platform.
• Design and run customer GTM plans target account mapping, pricing strategy, and conversion of new OEM, Tier-1 and MSME customers.
• Track market pricing, supply-demand trends and competitor activity to guide category decisions.
• Work with sales, supply chain, credit, product and marketing teams to deliver category targets.
• Report category performance (GMV, margins, customer and seller growth) to leadership.

Requirements

• 8+exp of experience in flat steel sales, category management, product management, marketing or segment development.
• Experience with a leading flat steel producer or an equivalent flat steel business.
• Strong understanding of flat steel grades and end-use applications in Automotive, Appliances, Solar and Transformer segments.
• Proven record of developing new segments or customers and driving revenue growth.
