Category Growth Lead (GLP 1 Therapies)

About the organisation

One of the Indai's leading healthcare group and India's largest omnichannel pharmacy network 7,000+ physical stores backed by one of the country's top digital health platforms offering online pharmacy, teleconsultation and chronic-care programmes. The organisation is building an end-to-end proposition for patients on GLP-1 therapies and adult vaccines, spanning prescription, counselling, fulfilment, adherence and long-term care.

About the opportunity

GLP-1 therapies (for diabetes, obesity and metabolic health) and adult vaccines are two of the most transformative segments in modern medicine. With semaglutide and tirzepatide now available in India, generic entry underway, and adult immunisation gaining public and institutional momentum, GLP-1 alone is projected to become a 10,000 Cr category by 2030.

We are looking for a Category Lead who will run these categories like a mini-CEO combining the commercial sharpness of a consultant, the execution instincts of an operator and the patient-first mindset of a healthcare professional. This is not a support or coordination role: you will own the P&L, set the strategy, drive pharma partnerships and be accountable for what the category delivers for patients and for the business.

Must-have requirements

• 59 years in category management, trade marketing, or brand / business management in pharma, healthtech or organised retail, with direct P&L accountability
• Demonstrated ownership of a category or business unit with 50 Cr+ annual revenue responsibility
• Hands-on experience structuring pharma partnerships JBPs, co-investment deals, PSP contracts, joint campaigns
• First-principles problem solving: structure an ambiguous commercial challenge, build the analysis, land a recommendation that drives action
• Strong data proficiency Excel, SQL or BI tools for category reviews, pricevolume bridging and performance reporting
• Executive communication: crisp, action-driving narratives for senior leadership
• High agency and ownership mindset accountable to outcomes, not activity

Strong advantage

• Exposure to the GLP-1, metabolic disease or obesity-therapy landscape in India — or a proven ability to build deep domain expertise fast
• Experience building specialty categories (biologics, injectables, vaccines, oncology) or pharma category management across offline + online
• Management consulting (MBB / Big 4) background or a top-tier MBA
