About this role
Job purpose:
Support the Category Manager in running the assigned category on the LimeRoad app and website. The role handles day-to-day execution of range and assortment plans, vendor coordination and onboarding, catalogue and listing quality, pricing and promotion set-up, inventory tracking and category reporting. The Category Executive keeps the category live, fresh and well-stocked, and turns data into clear daily actions that help grow GMV and margin across V-Marts own assortment and third-party marketplace vendors on LimeRoad.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Range & Assortment Execution
- Execute the seasonal range and assortment plan set by the Category Manager: option counts, price bands, size curves and launch calendar.
- Coordinate new-arrival drops and event launches; ensure styles go live on time with the right stock and content.
- Track competitor ranges and pricing on marketplaces (Myntra, Ajio, Meesho, Flipkart) and flag gaps and trends to the Category Manager.
- Identify non-performing styles and broken sizes; recommend delisting, replenishment or markdown actions.
2. Vendor Coordination & Onboarding
- Scout and shortlist new vendors and brands; manage onboarding documentation, agreements, commercial set-up and first listings.
- Act as the daily point of contact for vendors: catalogue submissions, stock updates, dispatch issues, payments and escalations.
- Track vendor scorecards (fill rate, dispatch SLA/OTIF, cancellations, quality and returns) and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support the Category Manager in vendor negotiations and business reviews with data and preparation.
3. Catalogue & Listing Quality
- Ensure every listing has correct attributes, tags, size charts, imagery, titles and descriptions as per LimeRoad content standards.
- Coordinate with catalogue, photoshoot and content teams to clear listing backlogs and fix quality issues quickly.
- Audit live catalogue regularly for errors, duplicates, out-of-stock options and pricing mismatches.
4. Pricing, Promotions & Site Merchandising
- Set up prices, discounts, coupons and event offers on the system as approved by the Category Manager.
- Prepare stock and vendor participation for sale events; track event performance and share learnings.
- Support home page, category page, collection and banner curation; check product visibility and search placement.
5. Inventory, Orders & Returns
- Monitor inventory levels, ageing and sell-through for own and SOR stock; raise replenishment and liquidation inputs.
- Track order cancellations, returns and RTO by style and vendor; identify root causes (size, quality, content) and drive fixes.
- Coordinate with SCM, fulfilment and One-Click teams on stock availability and dispatch issues.
6. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly category reports: GMV, NMV, orders, ASP, conversion, sell-through, returns and vendor performance.
- Analyse funnel data (impressions, CTR, PDP views, add-to-cart, conversion) and highlight quick-win actions.
Maintain category trackers, vendor master data and launch calendars accurately and on time.
