    About this role

    About Snapmint

Founded by IIT Bombay alumni (Nalin Agrawal, Anil Gelra, Abhineet Sawa), Snapmint is building India's most loved payment brand. We pioneered Pay in 3 through UPI and are also home to India's leading 0% EMI e-commerce app — giving millions of Indians the freedom to shop now and pay in monthly instalments, with no extra cost and no credit card required.

Today, Snapmint has crossed 50M+ app downloads and is the preferred payment partner for 2,000+ leading consumer brands, including Zepto, ixigo, Adani, District Store, Titan and many more. We're on a mission to make fair, transparent credit accessible to Young India - and make payments simple, enjoyable and worry-free.

Headquartered in Mumbai, with offices across major metros including Bengaluru, Gurugram, Delhi and Jaipur, we're building at the intersection of commerce, credit, technology and culture. If you want to work on a product used by millions, build a brand people genuinely love, and help redefine how the next generation of India pays and spends you'll fit right in.

Come build Snapmint and help us change how India pays.

    The Role

We are looking for a Category Associate – Merchandising & Traffic to own and optimise how products, brands, categories and propositions are surfaced across the Snapmint app.

The objective of this role is to ensure that every controllable customer impression is used effectively. You will work across digital merchandising, traffic allocation, experimentation, product discovery and performance analytics to ensure the right products are shown to the right customers at the right place and time.

This is a high-ownership role that combines commercial thinking, analytical problem-solving and strong merchandising judgement. You will continuously evaluate what is being shown on the platform, understand why it is performing the way it is, and identify opportunities to improve customer discovery, engagement, conversion and GTV/GMV.

    • Role Title: Category Associate – Merchandising and Traffic
    • Department: Category
    • Employment Type: Fulltime
    • Experience: 1-3 Yrs.
    • Location: Bangalore
    • Working Model: Work from Office – 5 Days a week
    • Entity: Snapmint Credit Advisory Private Limited

    What You Own

    • Own merchandising across Snapmint's controllable app surfaces, including homepage sections, category pages, widgets, collections and campaign surfaces.
    • Ensure the right products, brands, categories and propositions are surfaced at the right customer touchpoints.
    • Partner with category teams to understand product launches, emerging brands, trends, offers and business priorities.
    • Monitor competitor apps and marketplaces to identify new merchandising trends, discovery constructs and best practices.
    • Develop and implement new merchandising ideas, widgets, collections and product discovery constructs.
    • Continuously experiment with product selection, ranking, positioning, sequencing and creative propositions.
    • Optimise merchandising performance against metrics such as GTV/GMV per impression, CTR, conversion and orders.
    • Analyse performance across widgets, placements, categories, brands, SKUs and customer segments.
    • Understand how traffic is distributed across the platform and identify opportunities to improve traffic allocation and surface productivity.
    • Execute merchandising activities across BAU, campaigns, sale events and category initiatives.
    • Identify underperforming app real estate and recommend data-driven interventions.
    • Build and maintain dashboards, trackers and performance reports to monitor traffic, impressions, engagement, conversion and business outcomes.
    • Work closely with Product, Design, Growth and Category teams to improve customer discovery and merchandising.
    • Ensure customer-facing surfaces are accurate, relevant, timely and regularly refreshed.
    • Take end-to-end ownership of merchandising initiatives — from identifying opportunities to execution, measurement and optimisation.

    What You Bring

    • 1–4 years of experience in merchandising, category management, growth, e-commerce, marketplace operations, business analytics or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce funnels, digital merchandising and online customer discovery.
    • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
    • Working knowledge of SQL.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Understanding of key e-commerce metrics such as traffic, impressions, CTR, conversion, orders and GTV/GMV.
    • Ability to structure, execute and evaluate experiments and iterate based on results.
    • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer relevance with business priorities.
    • Strong visual and merchandising judgement with an eye for product placement, sequencing and presentation.
    • High attention to detail and strong execution and ownership mindset.
    • Ability to spot consumer and marketplace trends and translate them into actionable ideas.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and drive initiatives independently.
    • Graduate in any discipline.

    Good to Have

    • Prior experience in e-commerce merchandising or category management.
    • Experience managing homepage, category-page or other digital merchandising surfaces.
    • Experience with recommendation systems, product discovery or personalised merchandising.
    • Exposure to growth experimentation, A/B testing or conversion optimisation.
    • Experience working with consumer internet products or marketplace/category teams.
    • Experience in building or working with business dashboards and analytics tools.
