Cash Application Specialist- Contingent Role( Contract For 6Months)

Role Overview

The Cash Application Specialist role provides hands-on exposure to cash application activities, payment allocation, customer account review, and process improvement while working closely with experienced team members. Key Responsibilities

• 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Knowledge of customer payment and Order-to-Cash processes through hands-on learning and mentoring.
• Support cash application activities such as payment allocation, account review, and follow-up on open or unapplied payments under guidance from the team.
• Learn and follow company policies, SOPs, and DTPs while performing daily activities.
• Assist in reviewing On Account, Unprocessed, Partially Applied, Short Pay, Overpayment, Duplicate, and Inter-division transactions to support SLA compliance.
• Work with internal teams to gather information, clarify payment details, and support timely resolution of queries.
• Use Microsoft Excel and internal systems to update trackers, validate data, and support reporting activities.
• Identify simple process gaps or improvement ideas and share observations with the team.
• Show willingness to learn new responsibilities and grow within the Finance / Accounts Receivable function.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in finance/accounting.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, with openness to learn ERP/finance systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a positive learning mindset.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
