About this role
- Supervise the day-to-day functioning of the hostel.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, hygiene, and a safe environment.
- Monitor student attendance, in/out movement, and hostel timings.
- Ensure students follow hostel rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with wardens, security staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and administration.
- Address students routine concerns and escalate serious issues to the appropriate authority.
- Maintain hostel registers, records, inventories, and incident reports.
- Monitor rooms, common areas, washrooms, electricity, water supply, and other facilities.
- Report maintenance requirements and follow up until resolution.
- Assist during student emergencies and inform management/parents as per institutional protocol.
- Supervise housekeeping and ensure proper sanitation.
- Help with hostel admissions, room allotment, shifting, and vacating procedures.
- Conduct regular rounds and identify safety or security concerns.
- Support hostel activities, inspections, and institutional events.
- Maintain professional, respectful, and approachable conduct with students.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable safety procedures.
