Cardiac Care Unit - Attending Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced CCU Doctor to provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the Coronary/Critical Care Unit. The doctor will be responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and coordination with consultants and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients admitted to the CCU.
• Monitor patients vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatment.
• Initiate appropriate emergency and life-saving interventions when required.
• Manage patients with cardiac and other critical medical conditions.
• Perform and interpret relevant clinical assessments and investigations.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, intensivists, consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure timely documentation of patient history, examination, treatment plans, and progress.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and clinical deterioration.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ relatives regarding clinical status and treatment plans, as appropriate.
• Participate in handovers, rounds, and other clinical activities.

Qualifications

• MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
• Critical Care, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.
• Experience in CCU/ICU/Critical Care is preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
