Capacity Manager

Location: Hyderabad and Chennai

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT Capacity Management processes in alignment with ITIL and IT Service Management practices.
• Monitor infrastructure and application capacity, utilization, performance, and availability.
• Use Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring, performance analysis, capacity forecasting, and identifying bottlenecks.
• Perform capacity forecasting and trend analysis based on historical and projected workloads.
• Identify capacity risks and recommend optimization or infrastructure scaling initiatives.
• Prepare capacity reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management-level metrics.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, Operations, and Service Management teams.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities related to capacity and performance.
• Establish capacity thresholds, alerts, KPIs, and performance baselines.
• Analyze performance trends and proactively identify potential service degradation.
• Ensure capacity requirements are aligned with SLAs, business requirements, and IT service objectives.
• Participate in service reviews and provide recommendations for improving resource utilization and service performance.
• Maintain capacity management documentation, processes, and governance standards.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / IT Service Management / Capacity Management.
• Strong experience in Capacity Management and Capacity Planning.
• Good knowledge of ITIL / ITSM processes and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application/infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis.
• Experience with Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, dashboards, and operational insights.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and application performance metrics.
• Experience in capacity forecasting, trend analysis, utilization analysis, and performance management.
• Good understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Level Management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred

• ITIL certification is preferred.
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments with large-scale infrastructure/applications.
• Exposure to cloud environments, virtualization, databases, networks, and application performance monitoring is an advantage.
• Experience with capacity management tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
