Role Summary:
Perform pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II, review piping designs, and recommend modifications. Prepare reports and support technical challenges related to piping systems.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II
- Prepare pipe stress reports and supporting calculations
- Review 3D piping models for support and stress requirements
- Recommend design modifications based on stress analysis results
- Select and design pipe supports and spring hangers
- Assist engineers and designers in resolving technical engineering and design challenges
- Lead or mentor team members as required
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Hands-on experience with CAESAR II for pipe stress analysis
- Strong knowledge of piping flexibility, thermal expansion, sustained and occasional load analysis
- Experience in static and dynamic stress analysis of piping systems
- Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and/or ASME B31.3 codes
- Experience in pipe support and spring hanger selection/design
- Ability to interpret stress analysis results and recommend design changes
- Experience preparing pipe stress reports and calculations
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Experience with Super Critical Boilers in Thermal Power Plants
- Familiarity with critical piping systems and high-temperature piping applications
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or master s degree in mechanical engineering, Piping Design, or related field
