The role involves structural, durability, NVH, kinematic, dynamic, and virtual validation activities across automotive systems.Key Responsibilities
- Perform linear/non-linear FEA for structural stiffness, strength, stress, strain, contact, deformation, and FoS.
- Conduct modal, vibration/frequency response, NVH, fatigue, and durability analysis.
- Develop MBD/kinematic models for suspension, steering, hinges, closures, seats, mounts, mechanisms, and robotic systems.
- Extract dynamic joint loads, forces, moments, accelerations, and reactions from MBD simulations.
- Perform FEA–MBD load transfer/cascading for component-level structural and fatigue analysis.
- Develop flexible-body MBD models using CMS/Craig-Bampton and FEA modal reduction.
- Perform topology, topometry, shape, and gauge optimization for lightweighting and stiffness improvement.
- Correlate CAE results with physical test/proving-ground data and perform root-cause analysis.
- Recommend CAD/design changes, reinforcements, and optimization solutions based on simulation results.
- Support engineering reviews, gateway activities, and cross-functional teams.
