Cad Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Create highquality 3D CAD models for complex sheet metal, machined, and plastic components.

Generate detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with correct GD&T, tolerances, BOM, and standard drafting practices.

Perform 2D-to-3D, 3D-to-2D, and 3D-to-3D CAD conversions with high accuracy.

Work closely with crossfunctional teams to support ECR/ECO processes and change management workflows.

Ensure all CAD deliverables meet internal quality guidelines and customer standards.

Required Skills

Strong experience using SolidWorks/ Creo for modelling, assemblies, drawings, configurations, and surface modelling.

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong understanding of sheet metal design rules, machining practices, and plastic component design.

Hands-on experience with Engineering Change Request (ECR), Engineering Change Order (ECO), and PLM workflows.

Good knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).

Experience working with Windchill PLM or similar PLM systems (Teamcenter, Agile, etc.).

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
