CAD Design Engineer

Software Skills:

SolidWorks: 3D Part Modeling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Drawing

CATIA V5: Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, Drafting

AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage

MS Excel and basic documentation

Technical Skills:

Mechanical component and machine design

3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings

GD&T and tolerance understanding

Material selection and basic engineering calculations

BOM preparation and costing

Knowledge of standard components, bearings, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic components, etc.

Understanding of fabrication and machining processes

Ability to modify designs based on manufacturing requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Develop 3D models and machine assemblies

Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings

Prepare BOM and design documentation

Coordinate with production, purchase and vendors

Review and modify designs according to manufacturing requirements

Support machine installation, trials and design improvements
