CAD/CAM Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CAD/CAM software to prepare and modify engineering designs and manufacturing drawings.
• Generate CNC programs for machining operations as per production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications.
• Support CNC machine setup, tool selection, and machining operations, as applicable.
• Verify component dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Optimize tool paths and machining parameters to improve production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and coordinate with the production team.
• Maintain CNC programs, design files, and relevant production documentation.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool and Die Making, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a CAD/CAM Operator in the manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Autodesk Powershape Ultimate (For CAD) ,Autodesk Powermill (For CAM)
• Hands on Software (Powershape Delcam is preferred)
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and component inspection.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in CNC milling, turning, or VMC operations.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and tool paths.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
