Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparation and review of financial statements, schedules and management reports. • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing activities. • Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances and open items. • Assist in preparation of MIS and financial analysis for management review. • Support preparation and review of various finance-related reports and schedules. • Assist in accounts payable, expense accounting, vendor reconciliation and payment-related activities. • Support accounting entries, ledger scrutiny and review of outstanding balances. • Assist in bank, general ledger and inter-company reconciliations, wherever applicable. • Support preparation of schedules and information required for statutory, internal and regulatory audits. • Assist in providing data and financial information to auditors and other stakeholders. • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities. • Analyse actuals against budget and identify key variances and trends. • Assist in preparation of management dashboards and presentations using MS Excel / PowerPoint. • Support tax-related activities including coordination for TDS, GST and other applicable tax compliances. • Assist in maintaining proper documentation and supporting evidence for finance processes. • Gain exposure to life insurance accounting and regulatory reporting requirements. • Coordinate with various business functions to obtain required financial information and resolve accounting-related queries. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and reduction of manual activities within Finance. • Assist in other finance and special projects assigned by the team.
