Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on, and detail-oriented Executive / Senior Analyst Finance Controllership to join our team in Bangalore. This role is tailored for a CA Inter qualified professional with 3 to 5 years of corporate experience (post-articleship) in financial planning, accounting, and controllership.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end execution of operational financial planning, variance analysis, accounting closures, and monthly MIS reporting. Acting as a critical link between finance and business operations, you will ensure high-quality financial data, robust process governance, and cross-functional support.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Drive the compilation, consolidation, and data-modeling for annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Perform detailed monthly variance analyses (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast) and investigate root causes of discrepancies with department heads.

Financial & MIS Reporting

• Manage end-to-end monthly financial closures, including accruals, reconciliations, and trial balance reviews.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards for senior leadership.

Pricing & Commercial Support

• Conduct cost-benefit analyses, build pricing scenario models, and support bid evaluations to protect business unit margins.

Business Partnering

• Act as the primary operational finance partner for assigned departments, translating raw financial data into clear operational insights for non-finance managers.

Compliance & Governance

• Support statutory and internal audit processes by preparing audit schedules and ensuring alignment with Ind-AS, IFRS, and local GAAP standard requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain internal financial control checklists to minimize financial risks.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of accounting standards (Ind-AS/IGAAP), financial closing procedures, and audit preparation.

Technical & Tool Skills

• Core Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VBA, complex formulas, financial modeling) and MS PowerPoint (to translate data into executive-ready slide decks).
• BI & ERP: Hands-on experience working with ERPs (Oracle PSA, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI/Tableau) is highly preferred.
• Modern Tech (Preferred): Familiarity with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to optimize and automate routine reporting and data extraction workflows.

Soft Skills & Competencies

• Analytical Capability: High attention to numerical accuracy and the ability to spot trends, anomalies, and risks in vast datasets.
• Stakeholder Management: Confident communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional team heads and challenge expense justifications constructively.
• Ownership & Drive: A self-starter who takes ownership of closing timelines without needing constant hand-holding.
