Buying Professional ( Imports )

Role & responsibilities

• Strong expertise in Imports & International Trade Compliance, including customs regulations, tariffs, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Incoterms, and FTWZ transactions.
• Solid experience in Purchasing & Procurement, with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, from supplier sourcing and evaluation to purchase order management and vendor performance monitoring.
• Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best commercial terms related to pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and contractual agreements.
• Good understanding of Inventory Management and Supply Chain Operations, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics planning, and material movement.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI for procurement analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve supply chain challenges efficiently.
• Hands-on experience coordinating with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and Customs House Agents (CHA) to ensure seamless import and logistics operations.
• Knowledge of Protection Relays and related electrical equipment will be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical
• Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, imports, and supply chain management within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
• Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
