Business Operation & Strategy Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Map and analyse end-to-end business and operational processes; identify bottlenecks, redundancies, control gaps and unnecessary hand-offs.
• Drive process re-engineering and optimisation to improve cost, productivity, turnaround time, quality and scalability.
• Apply Lean / Six Sigma tools including DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto and process/value-stream mapping.
• Identify cost levers, productivity drivers, operational leakages and opportunities for measurable savings.
• Build business cases and quantify ROI, productivity gains and financial impact of improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitisation, AI, workflow, ERP/CRM and BI-led operational transformation.
• Work with business and technology teams to translate operational problems into practical technology solutions.
• Lead cross-functional strategic and operational projects assigned by the Director - Strategy and CEO Office.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards and management reports; track benefits realised against agreed objectives.
• Prepare clear, data-backed recommendations and presentations for senior management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Process Excellence, Operational Excellence, Business Transformation, Management Consulting, Strategy and Operations, Lean/Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement.
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Lean Six Sigma certification is mandatory, with demonstrable practical application of the methodology.
• Strong ability to understand complex and interconnected operational processes quickly, including downstream and cross-functional impacts.
• Street-smart, pragmatic problem solver who can distinguish symptoms from root causes and challenge 'business as usual'.
• Strong business analysis and commercial acumen, with an ability to understand cost structures and operational economics.
• Good understanding of technology-enabled transformation, automation and digital operating models.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and business reporting/visualisation tools; Power BI/Tableau exposure preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with comfort interacting from frontline teams to senior leadership.
