Business Intelligence Manager

To further power our growth, we are shifting toward a data-driven retail culture and are looking for a visionary BI Leader to transform our raw enterprise data into strategic execution.

Role Purpose As the BI Manager / Data Analytics Lead, you will bridge the gap between our technical data infrastructure and retail operations. You will oversee our entire analytics ecosystem leveraging Microsoft Dynamics365 ERP and Power BI to deliver actionable insights across Retail Sales, Corporate Finance, and Purchasing/Sourcing of inventory. You will manage a lean team of analysts and developers to drive profitable inventory distribution, cost optimization, and store conversions.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables 1. Strategic Business Partnering

• Define Retail KPIs: Collaborate with C-suite Executives, Regional Managers, and Sourcing Heads to establish standardized, enterprise-wide metrics (e.g., Gross Margin, Return on Investment, Stock Turn Ratio, Inventory levels across different product categories etc).
• Insight Generation: Move the brand from descriptive reporting ("What happened?") to prescriptive analytics ("What should we do?"). Deliver monthly operational briefs identifying slow-moving high-value items, branch-level leakage, and regional sales spikes/dips.
• Inventory Optimization: Run cross-functional analyses between Sourcing and Sales to optimize bullion hedging, minimize overstocking during festive seasons (Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras), and recommend inter-store stock transfers or stock melting & recycling.
• Cost Optimization Analysis
• Develop analytical models to drive cost optimization using key parameters such as cost-to-volume, sales-per-employee, productivity, and branch profitability ratios. Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Scenario Planning & Financial Projections
• Develop dynamic scenario planning and financial projection models based on changing business assumptions such as sales, pricing, inventory, funding costs, and expansion plans. Support management with what-if analysis and forecasting for strategic decision-making.
• Finance Dashboards & Business Intelligence
• Design real-time finance dashboards covering Treasury, Banking, Cash Flow, Working Capital, Borrowings, Investments, and key financial KPIs. Integrate data from multiple sources to enable faster decision-making and strengthen financial monitoring and reporting.
• Quarterly Board Presentations: Present the high level finding to internal and external Board of Directors.

2. Technical Governance & Architecture Oversight

• D365 & Power BI Roadmap: Lead the architecture strategy for consolidating multiple disparate Power BI reports into unified, lightning-fast executive dashboards.
• Data Pipeline Integrity: Partner with IT to ensure robust data extraction from D365 ERP without impacting live store POS performance.
• Data Trust: Enforce strict data governance, row-level security for store managers, and source-of-truth accuracy across all financial and inventory datasets.

3. Team Leadership & Operations

• Manage Data Talent: Recruit, mentor, and lead a compact team of D365 Power BI Developers and Data Analysts.
• Establish Analytics Rhythm: Implement a culture of daily automated threshold alerts for store metrics, weekly operational huddles with regional managers, and monthly deep dives with finance.

Required Profile & Technical Skills

• Experience: 6–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, with at least

3+ years in a Retail environment .

• ERP Understanding: Strong understanding of large scape ERP system data entities, tables, and schemas.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred.

• Power BI Expert: Advanced proficiency in Power BI desktop and service and complex data modelling.
• Business Acumen: Ability to translate abstract mathematical metrics into simple, universal business language for traditional retail managers and stakeholders.
