Business Intelligence Developer

Role Description - Role: BI Developer Role Type: Full Time Location: Bangalore

Role Summary - We are looking for a BI Developer to join Cropin’s Engineering team and own both the analytics and data engineering layers that power decision-making across our AI-led agri-tech platform. This is a hybrid role: you will design and build BI dashboards and data models, while also developing the underlying data pipelines and integrations that feed them. You will work closely with the Customer Success and Engineering teams to turn agricultural, satellite, and operational data into reliable, real-time insight, using a mix of SQL, Python, and modern BI tooling. You will have impact across the full data lifecycle: from sourcing and pipeline design, through modeling, to the final dashboard or visualization a user sees.

Primary Accountabilities -

• Design, build, and deploy BI dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations that translate complex agricultural and business data into actionable insight
• Design, build, and troubleshoot BI and data models, along with the underlying data pipelines that feed them
• Write efficient SQL queries across relational and multidimensional datasets, and build data transformation logic to prepare data for analytics
• Develop and maintain data integration pipelines, connecting to APIs and other sources to bring together agricultural, satellite, and operational data
• Monitor, debug, and optimise BI solutions and data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scale
• Apply Python and Jupyter Notebooks for data processing, automation, and ad hoc analysis
• Collaborate with the Customer Success and Engineering teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable BI and data solutions
• Maintain clear documentation of data models, pipelines, and BI solutions to support long-term maintainability

Best Fit Profile -

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a BI Developer, Analytics Developer, Data Engineer, or Python Developer
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with hands-on experience building reports and dashboards using at least one BI platform: Sisense (preferred), Power BI, or Tableau
• Proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and data processing or ETL techniques
• Good understanding of API integration, with experience building or maintaining data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Chart.js, JSON, HTML, and CSS for custom visualizations
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work independently, across both BI and data engineering work
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working closely with Customer Success and Engineering teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
