Job Summary

ITM Group – School of Future Tech is looking for a seasoned industry professional to lead its Mechatronics & Advanced Manufacturing initiative.

This role is ideal for retired or senior professionals from the manufacturing, automation, robotics, engineering, or industrial sector who wish to leverage their extensive industry experience in building an academic and industry-driven ecosystem.

The consultant will be responsible for business strategy, industry partnerships, laboratory setup, program development, team leadership, and overall growth of the initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership

• Develop and execute the business strategy for the Mechatronics & Advanced Manufacturing vertical.
• Drive revenue through degree programs, executive education, certifications, corporate training, consulting, and industry collaborations.
• Prepare business plans, budgets, KPIs, and growth strategies.

Industry & Corporate Partnerships

• Build strategic relationships with manufacturing companies, automation firms, OEMs, robotics companies, and industry associations.
• Develop internship, apprenticeship, placement, sponsored research, and corporate training partnerships.
• Represent ITM at industry forums and networking events.

Infrastructure & Technical Leadership

• Lead planning and commissioning of Robotics, PLC, CNC, Automation, IoT, Digital Twin, Embedded Systems, and Additive Manufacturing laboratories.
• Guide equipment selection, procurement, implementation, and operational excellence.

Academic & Program Development

• Work with academic leadership to design industry-oriented curriculum and practical learning modules.
• Introduce live industry projects, factory exposure, hackathons, and applied research initiatives.
• Mentor faculty, technical trainers, research associates, and students.

Team Management

• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive operational excellence, performance management, and capability development.
