Business Development / Sales Manager(new client & old client)

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Business Development / Sales Manager with a proven track record in Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients and strengthening relationships with existing accounts across import, export, and cross-border trade.

Key Responsibilities

• New Client Acquisition: Proactively identify market opportunities, cold-call, and acquire new key accounts for ocean freight forwarding and customs clearance services.
• Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to maximize retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Quotation & Negotiation: Handle client inquiries, prepare competitive commercial quotations, negotiate contracts, and close sales opportunities.
• Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly revenue/volume targets.
• Operations Coordination: Work closely with internal operations, customer support, and pricing teams to ensure smooth service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Market Expansion: Identify emerging industry trends, new trade lanes, and niche markets to grow our market presence.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: 4 to 10 years of dedicated business development/sales experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding (Imports & Exports), Customs Broking, Chartering, or Cross-Country logistics.
• Industry Background: Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance, International Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of shipping lines, trade routes, INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and containerized/bulk shipping workflows.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills.
