Job Title: Business Development Manager International Recruitment (US/Canada, APAC & UK/Europe)
Job Overview
Alliance is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive international business growth through new-client acquisition, strategic account development, and revenue generation across global markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, recruitment/staffing services, or HR solutions, with the ability to independently identify prospects, generate leads, engage decision-makers, negotiate commercial terms, and convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.
This role is suited to a proactive sales professional with a hunter mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build a sales pipeline from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new-business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth within the assigned international region.
- Identify and build a target-account database based on industry, geography, company size, and hiring potential.
- Generate leads independently through LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, cold calling, email outreach, referrals, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Connect with key decision-makers, including CHROs, HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Founders, Procurement Teams, and Business Heads.
- Conduct consultative sales discussions to understand client hiring requirements, recruitment volumes, budgets, timelines, and vendor onboarding processes.
- Promote recruitment and staffing solutions, including permanent recruitment, executive search, contract staffing, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), international recruitment, and volume hiring.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to proposal submission, negotiation, contract finalisation, and closure.
- Negotiate commercial terms, recruitment fees, service agreements, and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with recruitment, delivery, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful client onboarding and fulfilment of hiring mandates.
- Develop long-term client relationships, generate repeat business, and identify cross-selling and account-expansion opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and regular follow-ups.
- Achieve agreed monthly revenue and business development targets following the applicable ramp-up period.
Region-Specific Responsibilities
1. Business Development Manager – US & Canada
- Develop new business opportunities across the United States and Canada.
- Build relationships with North American employers across IT, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, finance, logistics, construction, and professional services.
- Understand client requirements related to direct-hire recruitment, contract staffing, executive search, RPO, and project-based hiring.
- Navigate client procurement processes, MSP/VMS requirements, vendor onboarding, and staffing agreements where applicable.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of new accounts and convert opportunities into active recruitment mandates.
2. Business Development Manager – APAC
- Drive new-client acquisition across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and other priority APAC markets.
- Identify organisations with ongoing or projected recruitment needs and develop relationships with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business decision-makers.
- Generate opportunities for permanent recruitment, contract staffing, executive search, RPO, international recruitment, and volume hiring.
- Understand regional hiring practices, vendor requirements, commercial expectations, and client-specific recruitment needs.
- Work closely with internal delivery teams to activate new clients and develop long-term business relationships across the region.
3. Business Development Manager – UK & Europe
- Prioritise new business across the United Kingdom and Ireland, while developing opportunities in selected European markets.
- Build relationships with employers requiring permanent recruitment, contract staffing, executive search, RPO, and international recruitment solutions.
- Understand employer procurement processes, recruitment vendor onboarding, replacement terms, exclusivity requirements, and commercial expectations.
- Manage proposals, fee negotiations, service agreements, and client objections to convert prospects into active hiring mandates.
- Coordinate with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure client requirements are clearly defined and commercially viable.
- Prioritise UK/Ireland business development and work across relevant UK/Europe time-zone overlaps as required.
