Business Development Manager

Job Description

• Drive new business through hardcore field sales for Air and Ocean Freight across Import and Export.
• Identify and acquire new customers while independently generating captive business.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and understand their logistics requirements.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close new business opportunities.
• Coordinate with Pricing and Operations teams to provide suitable solutions to customers.
• Manage credit control and collections for the assigned customer portfolio.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
• Deliver a minimum business ROI of 3.5–4x of the CTC.

Candidate Profile

• 4–5 years of experience in core Field Sales/Business Development within International Freight Forwarding.
• Experience with leading freight forwarding companies and handling international freight.
• Proven track record of new customer acquisition and generating captive business.
• Strong preference for hardcore field sales profiles; not suitable for primarily Key Account Management, Customer Service, or Sales Coordination profiles.
• Candidates from primarily E-commerce or Domestic Freight backgrounds will not be considered.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
