About this role
Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and managing relationships with architects, interior designers, dealers, and institutional clients, and expanding the company's presence in target markets. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, prepare sales plans, generate leads, deliver product presentations, and negotiate contracts in line with company policies. Responsibilities include tracking sales performance, providing feedback to product and marketing teams, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The role also requires regular site visits, participation in industry events, and close collaboration with internal teams to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales planning, and account management skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Experience in the building materials, interiors, or allied industries (e.g., decorative veneers, laminates, furniture, or design solutions).
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze competition, and identify new segments and opportunities.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including comfort speaking with senior stakeholders and design professionals.
- Proficiency in basic CRM or sales tracking tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, production, and logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in the interior décor, construction, or lifestyle product sectors.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required and maintain a professional, customer-centric approach at all times.
