About this role
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop the business for Atom Seating and Atom Seating Home. Own the growth plan for both brands, which segments to attack, which geographies to open, which products to lead with, and what it will take to get there. You bring the plan, we pressure-test it together, and then you run it.
- Represent Atom Seating at domestic and international exhibitions. Trade shows are where our category is won, from Indian expos to CinemaCon. You will plan the stand, prepare the collateral, work the floor, and most importantly, convert what you gather there into a pipeline that still exists ninety days later.
- Build and grow the dealer network. Identify, approach, and convert dealers and distributors across India; then keep them stocked, trained, supported, and selling.
- Own the Indiamart pipeline. Respond to every inquiry fast, qualify properly, follow up relentlessly, run demos, and close. The speed of the first response is a metric we track.
- Drive brand positioning and campaigns. Shape how both brands show up in social campaigns, reels, product launches, catalogues, and showroom collateral, working with our in-house creative studio.
- Sell socially, not just post socially. Engage and nurture prospects on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business, and turn conversations into qualified leads.
- Court the specification community. Reach out to interior designers, architects, contractors, and cinema consultants through calls, emails, and site visits, and get Atom emails included in their projects.
- Hit the number. Achieve monthly targets by building a pipeline deep enough that no single deal decides your month.
- Keep the record straight. Maintain clean CRM data, produce sales reports we can act on, and share what you are hearing from the market with the product and marketing teams.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-5 years in sales, business development, or marketing, ideally in furniture, home decor, or interiors. Title and level are matched to what you actually bring.
- A track record you can talk us through deal by deal: what you sold, to whom, at what value, and how you closed it.
- Communication and negotiation you are genuinely good at, in English and in Hindi. A regional language is a real advantage in this business.
- Working familiarity with Indiamart, social selling tools, and a CRM (HubSpot, Zoho, or at minimum disciplined Google Sheets).
- An existing network in furniture, interiors, home decor, or cinema fit-outs is a strong plus, not a filter.
- Willingness to travel within India and abroad for exhibitions. Travel is reimbursed.
- A bachelor's degree.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented, with real interest in comfort, design, and how a good chair is made. People who care about the product outsell people who do not.
What success looks like:
- So that we are both measuring the same things:
- First 30 days: Product range, pricing, margins, and manufacturing understood. Indiamart enquiries are being answered the same day. Existing dealers and open inquiries mapped.
- First 90 days: A written growth plan for both brands, agreed with the founders. First, new dealers signed. A live, accurate pipeline in the CRM.
- First 6 months: Consistently hitting monthly targets. At least one exhibition is planned and executed end-to-end. A working exhibition is the designer and architect-to-end.
- First 12 months: A dealer network that produces repeat orders without being chased, a brand presence that makes the first sales call easier than it was a year ago, and founders who are no longer in the middle of every deal.
