Business Development Manager - USA Big Box Accounts

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with USA Big Box Retailers and their India sourcing offices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Buying, Sourcing, Merchandising and Procurement teams.
• Develop new business opportunities and generate enquiries/orders for carpets and rugs.
• Understand customer requirements, product specifications, pricing and market trends.
• Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Production, Quality and Export teams to fulfil customer requirements.
• Handle product presentations, sampling, quotations and commercial negotiations.
• Regularly follow up with key accounts and ensure smooth business coordination.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the USA carpet & rug retail market and customer preferences.
• Achieve assigned sales and business development targets.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings, buyer visits, exhibitions and business events.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in B2B Business Development / Key Account Management / Sales.
• Experience in Carpet, Rugs, Home Furnishing, Textiles or Export Industry will be preferred.
• Strong exposure to USA buyers, retailers, sourcing houses or buying offices will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Strong business development and networking abilities.
• Ability to independently develop and manage high-value accounts.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development when required.
