Business Development Manager- Outdoor Furniture

About the Role

I.EVO is looking for a seasoned leader to head the outdoor furniture vertical end-to-end — sales, product, dealer network, and brand positioning — for our premium outdoor and patio furniture business based out of Udaipur. This is a P&L-owning leadership role responsible for scaling the category through retail, institutional, and B2B channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Growth

• Own the P&L for the outdoor furniture category — revenue targets, margins, and growth strategy
• Identify new markets and channels (retail, HORECA, real estate/architects, e-commerce) and expand distribution
• Build and manage a dealer/distributor/franchise network pan-India or in the assigned region

2. Product & Category Management

• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to develop outdoor furniture lines (rattan, aluminium, teak, all-weather fabrics)
• Track market trends and competitor offerings in the premium outdoor furniture space to guide the product roadmap
• Manage pricing strategy and product positioning across price tiers

3. Client & Project Management

• Handle B2B relationships with hospitality projects, architects, interior designers, and real estate developers
• Manage large-format institutional/contract orders (hotels, resorts, corporate campuses)
• Ensure timely execution, quality control, and after-sales service

4. Team Leadership

• Build, train, and manage a sales and operations team
• Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive a target-oriented culture

5. Marketing & Brand

• Coordinate with the marketing team on catalogues, showroom displays, and exhibitions (e.g. IHGF, IFFI)
• Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events

6. Operations & Supply Chain

Liaise with manufacturing and vendors for production planning and inventory management • Monitor logistics, quality standards, and cost control

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in the furniture / outdoor living / home décor industry, with at least 3–4 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of managing dealer networks and B2B/institutional sales
• Strong understanding of outdoor furniture materials and manufacturing processes
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel extensively
