About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

    Business Development Manager

Artist & Celebrity Bookings | Book My Artist India

Location: New Delhi (office based, with some travel for live events)

    Openings: 2

Experience: 2 to 4 years in high ticket sales, ideally in events or live entertainment

Fixed Pay: 30,000 to 45,000 per month

Incentives: On every booking you close, so the more you close, the more you take home

    A little about us

Book My Artist India (BMAI) helps people book the artists, singers, performers and celebrities who make an event unforgettable. Our clients range from companies planning their annual day to families planning a wedding, college fest committees, brands launching something new, and hosts of private celebrations across India.

We are a small, driven team, and we are growing. We are now looking for two people who have sold big ticket events or experiences before, know how event buyers think, and want to grow their career in live entertainment.

What your day will look like

    • Talking to people who want to book an artist. You will call new inquiries quickly, understand their event (date, city, crowd, budget) and suggest the artist who fits best.

    • Finding new clients. You will reach out to HR teams, corporate event teams, wedding planners, event agencies and college fest committees over calls and WhatsApp.

    • Pitching and closing. These are high value bookings. You will present artist profiles and quotes, handle budget conversations and negotiations, and guide the client through every decision maker until the booking is confirmed.

    • Working with artists and their managers. You will check availability, agree on commercials, and sort out travel and technical needs.

    • Keeping things organised. You will update every call, follow-up and booking in our CRM so nothing falls through the cracks.

    • Being there on show day. Now and then, you will travel to events to make sure everything runs smoothly for both the client and the artist.

Your first few months with us

    • In your first month, you will get to know our artists, pricing and pitch, and start handling inquiries on your own.

    • By your third month, you will be closing bookings regularly, meeting your monthly targets, and building your own network of corporate and planner contacts who come back to you.

You will fit right in if you

    • Speak English and Hindi comfortably and confidently, since most of your day is spent on calls

    • Have 2 to 4 years of experience closing high value deals, where a single sale is worth 1 lakh or more

    • Come from the events world: event management, wedding planning, artist management, venues, luxury hospitality or brand activations

    • Know how events work behind the scenes, from budgets and vendors to timelines and show day pressure

    • Are comfortable with longer sales cycles where HR, admin, procurement or the whole family has a say

    • Already know people at corporate event teams, planners or agencies (a big plus)

    • Follow up without needing a reminder, and don't get discouraged by a no

    • Can speak just as easily with a senior corporate leader as with an artist's manager

    • Have used a CRM like Zoho or HubSpot (nice to have, not a must)

A quick heads up before you apply

We want this to be a good fit for you too, so here is what the job honestly involves:

    • Events often happen on evenings and weekends, so your schedule will sometimes need to flex

    • A good part of your day will go into calling people who have not heard of us yet

    • There are monthly targets, and your incentives are tied to them

If that sounds exciting rather than stressful, we would really like to hear from you.

    What you get in return

    • Earnings that grow with you. Incentives on every booking you close, with no cap for top performers.

    • A seat inside the entertainment world. You will work directly with artists, celebrities, their managers and some of India's biggest event buyers.

    • Real responsibility early on. You will own your clients from day one, with a clear path to senior business development and key account roles.

    • Skills that stay with you. Event sales, negotiation and artist pricing are things very few people get to learn this closely.

    Ready to apply

We read every application ourselves. To help yours stand out, please send:

    1. Your resume to [HIDDEN TEXT]

    2. With the subject line BDM Application | Your Name | Current City

    3. Two or three lines on the biggest deal you have closed: what you sold, its value, and how you won it.

    4. A short voice note or video (about 60 seconds) where you pitch a live singer of your choice to an HR head planning an annual day for 500 employees, who tells you the quote is over their budget. It doesn't need to be polished. We just want to hear how you handle it.

Applications that include the voice note will be reviewed first.
