Business Development Intern

About us

Shyam Ahuja has made luxury handcrafted dhurries and rugs since 1970, with stores in Delhi, Mumbai and New York. This internship gives you hands-on exposure to business development, merchandising and operations at a heritage craft brand.

What you will do

• Business development: research and build trade leads (designers, architects, hospitality); run outreach by phone, email and WhatsApp; set up showroom visits; keep the CRM current; prepare quotations.

• Merchandising: maintain catalogue data and product listings; analyse sales by design, colour and size to guide reorders; support displays, shoots and collection launches.

• Backend operations: process orders and update their status in the system; maintain inventory and SKU records in Zoho Inventory; reconcile stock across stores and warehouse; prepare invoices, delivery challans and shipment paperwork; send weekly MIS reports on sales, stock and pending orders; coordinate with production units in Bhadohi and Mirzapur on timelines.

Must have

• Basic tech skills: confident with Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivots), email and presentation tools; quick to learn CRM, inventory and e-commerce software.

• Currently pursuing an MBA or a business degree (BBA, B.Com or similar) , Oter background people with willingness to learn can apply

Good to have:

interest in interiors or luxury retail; exposure to Zoho, Shopify or similar tools
