Role Description

Business Development Intern

This is a performance-based internship opportunity for individuals interested in business development, sales, marketing, and customer acquisition. The intern will support lead generation, B2B/B2C sales activities, customer communication, follow-ups, market research, and relationship building.

The role will involve identifying potential customers and business opportunities, preparing and sending professional emails, making follow-up calls, supporting sales pitches, maintaining lead and customer records, and coordinating with the team to convert prospects into business opportunities.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in lead generation, B2B/B2C sales, sales pitching, customer communication, follow-ups, negotiation, market research, CRM management, email communication, Excel/spreadsheets, and AI-assisted business development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and research potential B2B and B2C leads.
• Support sales outreach and customer acquisition activities.
• Communicate with prospects through calls, emails, and online meetings.
• Conduct follow-ups and maintain prospect relationships.
• Assist with sales pitching and basic negotiation.
• Conduct market and competitor research.
• Maintain lead/customer information using Excel and CRM tools.
• Prepare basic reports and sales-related presentations.
• Use AI tools to support email drafting, research, lead generation, and business development activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams for sales and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in sales, business development, and customer acquisition.
• Basic knowledge of Excel/spreadsheets and productivity tools.
• Willingness to learn lead generation, CRM, sales and AI-assisted tools.
• Good research, analytical and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in agriculture, food products, or the agri supply chain is an advantage.

Compensation: Performance-Based
