Job Description API Pharmaceutical Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new business opportunities for the APIs through lead generation, client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and key account management.
• Identify and engage potential customers to expand API business and generate new leads.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, product opportunities, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments in the API industry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Operations to ensure timely and effective customer support.
• Manage customer inquiries, RFQs, product registrations, and business development projects while ensuring adherence to timelines and business objectives.
• Participate in industry exhibitions, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote API products and strengthen business relationships.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and supply agreements to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in API Pharmaceutical Business Development, International Marketing, or Sales.
• Strong understanding of API manufacturing, regulatory requirements, DMFs, CEPs, and global pharmaceutical markets.
• Proven experience in lead generation, customer acquisition, and key account management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• API industry experience is mandatory.
