Business Development Executive ( Property Acquisition )

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Business Development Executive to support our offline retail expansion by identifying potential store locations, building relationships with property owners, and coordinating the activities required to establish new retail outlets.

What makes the role meaty?

1. Location Identification & Market Research

• Identify potential retail locations in targeted markets for new Licious store openings.
• Conduct market visits to assess location suitability, footfall, accessibility, visibility, and surrounding demographics.
• Research competitor presence, local market demand, and business potential to recommend suitable locations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential properties for future expansion.

2. Real Estate & Business Development

• Develop relationships with property owners, real estate brokers, developers, and property management firms.
• Source and evaluate properties based on business requirements, rental expectations, and location suitability.
• Coordinate discussions with property owners and support rental negotiations.
• Assist in finalizing commercial terms, documentation, and Lease and License Agreements (LLAs), in coordination with the relevant internal teams.

3. New Store Opening Coordination

• Coordinate with Projects, Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other internal teams to facilitate new store openings.
• Track project timelines and follow up on pending activities related to store setup and readiness.
• Support coordination for property documentation, licenses, approvals, and other pre-opening requirements.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of location-related challenges to support store launch plans.

4. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain a database of identified properties, broker contacts, rental details, and location evaluations.
• Prepare regular updates on the property pipeline, negotiations, and expansion progress.
• Share market intelligence and competitor insights to support expansion decisions.
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

We hope that you have..

• Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in business development, real estate, retail expansion, property sourcing, or field sales is preferred.
• Good communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Comfortable conducting market visits and travelling within assigned locations.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining property trackers and preparing reports.
• Ability to assess locations commercially and work with multiple stakeholders.
