Business Development (Chemical Sales)

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and expand business for water treatment and industrial chemical products.
• Identify and generate new business opportunities through regular market visits and customer interactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in industries such as Power, Steel, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Chemicals, Textile, Automotive, and Manufacturing.
• Conduct site visits, understand customer requirements, and recommend suitable chemical treatment solutions.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and negotiate commercial terms.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with technical and service teams for successful implementation of solutions.
• Manage key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in Chemical Sales, Water Treatment Chemicals, Industrial Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, or Technical Sales.
• Strong understanding of B2B sales and customer relationship management.
• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field sales and customer meetings.
