Business Analyst – Capital Markets

Experience: 4–10 Years

Location: Goregaon, Mumbai Domain: Capital Markets / Investment Banking Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets domain knowledge to bridge business and technology teams. The candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, analyzing trade lifecycle processes, creating functional specifications, supporting testing, and ensuring successful implementation of technology solutions across capital market platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, Functional Specifications, User Stories, and Use Cases.
• Conduct requirement elicitation workshops with business stakeholders.
• Analyze AS-IS and TO-BE business processes.
• Understand end-to-end trade lifecycle (Trade Capture → Validation → Settlement).
• Work closely with Development, QA, UAT, and Production Support teams.
• Perform Gap Analysis and Impact Analysis.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.
• Prepare process flow diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Coordinate with business users, project managers, and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements. Required Skills
• Strong Business Analysis experience.
• Capital Markets domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of asset classes:
• Equities
• Fixed Income
• Derivatives
• FX
• Mutual Funds (preferred)
• Understanding of trade lifecycle.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Data Mapping and Data Analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• MBA (Finance) or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Scrum are desirable. Nice-to-Have
• Regulatory reporting knowledge (MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, Basel).
• Reference Data and Market Data experience.
• Reconciliation and Data Quality knowledge.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
