Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and other IT stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs, refine user stories, and support sprint execution using Jira or similar tools.
• Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps, assess business impact, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams on solution design to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and UAT scripts; coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and track defects through resolution.
• Validate implemented solutions against business requirements and obtain stakeholder sign-off before deployment.
• Maintain project documentation, track deliverables, communicate progress, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Support deployment, end-user training, change management, and adoption of digital solutions.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential delivery challenges, and coordinate mitigation activities.
• Work with data and analytics teams where required to support reporting, data validation, and business decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback, monitoring outcomes, and recommending enhancements to digital products and business processes.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years of experience in IT or related functional areas, with hands-on experience in Business Analysis and digital solution delivery.

• Strong experience in requirement gathering, analysis, BRD/FRD documentation, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Proven ability to coordinate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience in UAT planning, test case preparation, defect tracking, validation, and business sign-off.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, assess business impact, and recommend improvements.
• Bachelor's degree required; IT, Computer Science, Data, or related educational background preferred.
• Exposure to SQL, data analytics, Azure/cloud platforms, Databricks, ERP, or digital product management will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with experience in enterprise applications, digital transformation, and global cross-functional projects will be preferred.
