Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in the fintech sector and a specialized focus on wealth management applications. You will act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams, translating complex financial concepts and wealth management workflows into clear, actionable technical requirements to build scalable, modern, and user-centric wealth management platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product managers, wealth advisors, and business stakeholders to understand the strategic vision for wealth management applications.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions to elicit, document, and analyze complex business requirements related to portfolio management, transactions, advisory, and client reporting.
• Translate high-level business needs into detailed, development-ready artifacts, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams.
• Apply deep domain knowledge of wealth management lifecycles, including client onboarding (KYC/AML), asset allocation, portfolio rebalancing, performance reporting, and fee billing.
• Advise technical teams on financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and mutual funds/ETFs, as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
• Stay current on fintech trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies such as AI in advisory and open banking APIs to recommend product enhancements.
• Manage and groom the product backlog, ensuring user stories are prioritized, clearly defined, and accurately estimated.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to ensure platform interfaces meet the specialized needs of financial advisors and end-investors.
• Act as the primary point of contact for engineering and QA teams during development sprints, clarifying requirements and removing blockers.
• Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to ensure delivered software meets business needs and strict financial accuracy standards.
• Develop user manuals, release notes, and training materials for internal teams and end-users.
• Mentor junior business analysts and promote best practices in requirements engineering and agile delivery.

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or similar role within the financial services or fintech industry.
• Proven experience working directly on wealth management, asset management, or investment advisory software applications.
• Strong understanding of API integrations, data flows, and modern software architecture.
• Ability to read and write basic SQL queries for data analysis.
• Extensive experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Rally.
• Exceptional ability to map complex financial workflows and identify edge cases in trading and portfolio management scenarios.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CSPO, CFA, or NISM certifications.
• Familiarity with industry-standard wealth tech platforms or market data providers such as Bloomberg or Morningstar.
• Understanding of data privacy and financial regulations such as SEBI guidelines, GDPR, and KYC/AML norms.
