Business Analyst

About the role

As a Business Analyst, you will make an impact by acting as a subject matter expert for Trade Finance systems and processes, translating complex business needs into clear, structured design and delivering solutions that meet business requirements. You will be a valued member of the Trade Finance team and work collaboratively with business, technology, and operations teams, and clients.

In this role, you will

• Act as a subject matter expert for Trade Finance systems and processes, providing functional and technical expertise.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through change plans and design documents.
• Analyse functional process designs and write detailed use cases aligned with current internal procedures and the product delivery model.
• Work with the development team to transfer knowledge of functional requirements and support them during coding.
• Lead test planning, test case scripting, and execution alongside the operations team, and support the management team in developing test strategy.

What you must have to be considered

• Strong understanding of core trade products such as Documentary Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Guarantees, and Standby Letters of Credit, with end-to-end process knowledge.
• Proficiency in conducting both manual and automated test executions, and in designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive test cases and scripts to ensure software quality.
• Ability to create clear, structured, and effective design documentation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, writing user stories, and managing backlogs.
• Strong collaboration and presentation skills for interacting with business, technology, and operations teams.

These will help you succeed

• Ability to interpret data, create dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Experience developing test strategy in partnership with management teams to ensure systems meet business requirements.
• Ability to lead knowledge-transfer sessions with development teams on functional requirements.
