Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong ETL and Credit Cards domain expertise to work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of credit card operations, data analysis, ETL processes, and requirements management to support data-driven business initiatives and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Credit Cards business stakeholders.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
• Work closely with ETL developers and data engineering teams to define source-to-target mappings and data transformation rules.
• Analyze and validate credit card data related to card issuance, transactions, authorizations, settlements, billing, payments, disputes, rewards, and fraud monitoring.
• Conduct data analysis using SQL and validate ETL loads and reports.
• Collaborate with business, testing, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and data governance standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and stakeholder discussions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in ETL/Data Warehousing projects.
• Good understanding of Credit Card lifecycle and operations.
• Experience with credit card processes including:
• Card Issuance
• Authorizations
• Billing & Statements
• Payments
• Chargebacks & Disputes
• Rewards Programs
• Fraud & Risk Management
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of Data Mapping, Data Migration, and Data Validation.
• Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Visa, Mastercard, or other card payment networks.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and card management platforms.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or reporting tools.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• CBAP, CCBA, Agile, or Banking certifications are an added advantage.
