Business Analyst Lead

R Systems International is seeking a skilled and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our business needs and our technical solutions, specifically within the Insurance domain. We are looking for a collaborative professional who thrives on transforming complex problems into clear, actionable requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their vision and ensure that our software solutions deliver maximum value to the workforce and our global clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery process by facilitating workshops and interviews to gather comprehensive business requirements.
• Translate high-level business goals into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
• Act as a domain expert in Life Insurance and P&C (Property & Casualty), providing insights that shape product strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA specialists, to ensure technical designs align with business objectives.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test cases and ensuring the final product meets all specified requirements.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
• Deep subject matter expertise in the Insurance domain, specifically Life Insurance and/or P&C.
• Proven proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, including document analysis, surveys, and business process descriptions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business logic.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
• Experience with SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Familiarity with modern business modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart, or Jira).
• Prior experience mentoring junior analysts or leading small project teams.

Experience Level

8–12 Years of Experience As a senior-level contributor, you are expected to operate with high autonomy. Within this experience range, you should demonstrate a track record of successfully navigating large-scale insurance projects from inception to delivery. We expect you to not only execute tasks but also to provide strategic guidance, mitigate project risks, and influence the direction of our internal methodologies.
