Business Analyst Consultant

We are seeking a Business Analyst Consultant to join our diverse and dynamic team. In this role, you will partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements. You will play a key role in product discovery, backlog management, sprint planning readiness, and solution delivery, ensuring teams are focused on delivering meaningful business and customer outcomes. The successful candidate combines strong analytical skills, business process expertise, and product thinking to help define, prioritize, and deliver high-value solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities Requirements Discovery & Analysis

• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Managers, and technical teams to understand business objectives, customer needs, and operational challenges.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather and clarify requirements.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

Product & Sprint Backlog Management

• Create, maintain, refine product backlog items and support sprint planning, and release planning activities.
• Ensure user stories meet the agreed definitions of readiness and acceptance.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and impacts affecting delivery commitments.
• Support change management and adoption activities where required.

Delivery & Quality Support

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, UX, QA and Validation teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of delivered functionality.
• Ensure solutions meet documented business requirements and intended outcomes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build effective working relationships across business and technology teams.
• Communicate requirements, priorities, dependencies, and delivery impacts clearly to stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions to drive alignment and informed decision-making.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze customer feedback, product performance, and operational metrics to identify enhancement opportunities.
• Contribute recommendations that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business value.
• Support Product Managers by providing insights and analysis to inform backlog prioritization and roadmap discussions.

Working Arrangements & Collaboration Expectations

• This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week in the Chennai office
• Focus on core working hours at office for active collaboration and productive outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of Business Analysis experience with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, SDLC, and product delivery practices.
• Experience creating and managing user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively with Product, Engineering, QA and Validation teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or other regulated industries is desirable

Experience
