Business Analyst (Actuarial & Reinsurance)

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives across Actuarial, Reinsurance, and Business Operations. The role involves gathering business requirements, analyzing processes and data, and collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver effective solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and business performance.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Operations teams to identify business needs and process improvements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and use cases.
• Support actuarial transformation, system enhancements, automation, and data management initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, controls, and data quality.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to define requirements and solution designs.
• Work with technology teams to implement business and actuarial solutions.
• Support actuarial data validation, reporting enhancements, and business impact assessments.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and solution deployment.
• Assist in developing dashboards, management reports, KPIs, and analytical tools.
• Maintain project documentation, requirements repositories, and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance operations and actuarial concepts.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes related to pricing, reserving, financial reporting, and risk management.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Strong data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of business process mapping, process improvement, and system implementation.
• Familiarity with UAT, defect management, reporting tools, and data validation.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
