Build Engineer

Summary: In this role, you will be a key contributor to the DevOps workflow, supporting critical product teams by providing technical expertise and leadership across DevOps practices. This includes Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD, Cloud Infrastructure, Microservices, and SRE practices for our Digital Electronics software vertical. You will play a pivotal role on the team, supporting AIX and Linux-based systems, and establishing scalable DevOps patterns. Your work will help define best practices and drive the standardization of DevOps methodologies across the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Support migrations to GitLab pipelines where required.
• Provide infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and AWS services.
• Ensure security and compliance via scans, patching, IAM, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Network, Security, QA, and Engineering teams.
• Support testing and validation with QA and product teams.
• Support AIX and Linux environments.
• Document architecture, deployments, and runbooks.
• Provide knowledge transfer to engineering/support teams.

Requirements:

• 3 years in DevOps, cloud, or systems engineering.
• Experience with Linux and/or AIX systems.
• Experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Java application deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Any AWS experience: EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC.
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong networking fundamentals.
• Experience with microservices and scalable systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Collaborate with global DevOps, Cloud, QA, Security, and Engineering teams.
• Deliver solutions aligned with timelines.
• Provide updates on risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Work independently with ownership.
• Support US time zone overlap.

Preferred Skills:

• AIX system administration experience.
• GitOps knowledge.
• Scripting with Bash or Python.
• Experience in compliance-driven environments.
• Cloud migration/modernization experience.
