Bridge Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

- Design of bridges and cross-drainage structures (RCC / PSC girder bridges, slab bridges, box culverts, minor bridges, ROBs and flyovers) for PMGSY / MMGSY, PWD and WRD road projects across Maharashtra.

- Structural analysis and design as per IRC:6, IRC:112, IRC:78, IRC:SP:13 and IRC:SP:82; load combinations, substructure and foundation design (open, pile and well foundations).

- Hydraulic and design calculations, GADs and detailed drawings; coordination with the survey, hydrology and highway teams.

- Modelling in MIDAS Civil / STAAD.Pro; checking of designs and quantity estimates for DPRs.

- Attend client and proof-consultant reviews (PWD, MRRDA / PMGSY, WRD) and resolve design queries.

- Guide junior engineers and the CAD team.

Preferred candidate profile:

- B.E. / B.Tech (Civil); M.E. / M.Tech (Structural) preferred.

- 5-7 years in bridge and structure design with a consultancy; DPR experience for PMGSY / MMGSY, State PWD or NHAI roads preferred.

- Hands-on MIDAS Civil, STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; working knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.

- Strong command of IRC codes; prestressed concrete design experience.

- Based in or willing to relocate to Pune; occasional site visits across Maharashtra.
