Chebel Patisserie is a premium celebration cake brand and café based in Bangalore, known for our elevated approach to cakes and desserts. We're expanding our kitchen team and looking for a Bread & Viennoiserie Baker.
About the Role
We're looking for a baker skilled in both artisan breads and laminated viennoiserie — croissants, danishes, kouign-amann — alongside sourdough and other bread products. Not a general pastry or cake decorator role. This is a hands-on kitchen position focused on lamination, fermentation, proofing, and daily production of both categories.
What you'll do
- Produce breads (sourdough, artisan loaves, etc.) and viennoiserie items (croissants, danishes) daily
- Manage dough lamination, fermentation, and proofing schedules
- Maintain consistency and quality across batches
- Coordinate with the kitchen team on production planning and stock
- Uphold hygiene and food safety standards
What we're looking for
- Minimum 4 years of experience in both bread baking and viennoiserie specifically (not general pastry or cake decoration)
- Strong understanding of fermentation, lamination technique, and dough handling
- Culinary/baking certification preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café/kitchen environment
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore
Salary: ₹40,000–70,000/month
