Role & responsibilities

A Life Insurance Agency Branch Manager leads branch operations and drives new business by recruiting, training, and managing a team of sales managers and insurance advisors through the agency channel.

K ey Responsibilities

• Agency Network Building: Recruit, onboard, and develop life insurance advisors, agents, and front-line sales managers.
• Sales & Revenue Targets: Drive New Business Premium (NBP), monthly and annual branch sales goals, and policy renewals.
• Team Management & Coaching: Lead sales managers, conduct daily/weekly performance huddles, and deliver field coaching or product training.
• Productivity & Activation: Monitor agent activation ratios, persistency rates, and advisor retention to minimize team attrition.
• Operations & Compliance: Manage branch administration, budgeting, MIS reporting, and strict adherence to IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: Graduation degree in any discipline.

• Experience: 4 to 8+ years in the life insurance or BFSI sector, with at least 2 to 3 years specifically in agency channel team handling

• Skills Required:
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Local market knowledge and strategic sales planning.
• Proficiency in performance tracking, recruitment metrics, and regulatory compliance.
