Position: Team Lead- Sourcing

Qualification:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electronics

-10+ years of experience in electronics procurement or sourcing

Location: Padi, Chennai

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronic and electrical components (PCBs, sensors, connectors, relays, switches, wiring harnesses, etc.)
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong technical understanding of electronics and electrical products, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering drawings to support accurate and efficient sourcing decisions.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and compliance with company standards.
• Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, component availability, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure alignment.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier evaluations, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyze and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Knowledge and Skills Required:

- Proficiency in SAP MM module for material management and procurement processes

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve supply chain issues

- Excellent data management and MS Office skills for data analysis and reporting

- Fluency in Tamil and English languages; proficiency in Hindi is preferred

- Project management skills to coordinate and execute supplier development initiatives

- Working experience as an electronics/electrical component buyer with direct contact with component manufacturers.
